My first Toyota and my first Hybrid
By Marty | on Thursday, October 18, 2018
Toyota says this car should get 43 mpg. We have kept it in the ECO mode and without any resets are getting 43.9. We have a Limited with all the bells and whistles. The car handles well and gives a comfortable ride. The car and trunk are spacious. Most manufactures give up trunk space for the hybrid battery. This car doesn't, the battery is under the rear seat and the gas tank is smaller than the non hybrid. The range on this car is > 500 miles. The only feature that this car doesn't have is available multi contour (massage) seats. All of the tech features work well but I wish the lane keeping was a little more aggressive. Our car has the factory installed protection film. You can't tell that it is there but the protection that it offers will be appreciated over the car's lifetime. This car has a ridge on the BSW tires that is designed to protect the wheels against curb damage. We are very pleased with this car.… - 5.0

What a great car
By fred | on Wednesday, December 25, 2019
This really is a great car. The styling is very sharp. the handling is great. The interior is very nice; although a few small problems ( it does sit low, a little hard to get in and out for someone with bad knees, it needs more storage like a sun-glass compartment in the overhead and a bigger glove box.) The MPGs are amazing. I have done better than 50mpgs in the city, ( a couple of times I got 60+mpgs) but mostly around 40-45 mpg. Hwy is above 40 and sometimes 46mpgs. And it is very quick for a four cylinder. We just got back from a 2000 mile rode trip and had a blast. On a newly paved back road in Utah I put it in sports mode and pushed it a little and it did great. I did put some better tires on it, the original hankooks are mediocre at best. And I love that I only see a few on the road.…
